After giving birth, our mother, Martha, moved in with us and we were able to enjoy long-simmer stews, soups, smoothies, and body-warming teas.
The South American/Caribbean postpartum meals she made were rich with healing herbs and superfoods. We were able to recover quickly and feel deeply supported.
We produced an endless supply of milk for our newborn babies and we felt like our bodies quickly regained physical strength in a matter of weeks.
As our friends shared their postpartum stories, they were challenged with low milk supply, postpartum depression, and fatigue. We knew that nourishment was a factor.
Our mom works alongside us to help you eat well, thrive postpartum, and enjoy early motherhood.

Martha's Meals - My Story
Hello, my name is Martha and I am the founder of Martha's Meals.
I love home births, because I was born at home in the mountains of Puerto Rico. My grandmother not only helped my mother with the birth, but also made sure that my mom recovered quickly by providing her healthy meals.
Two of my daughters also decided to give birth at home. I was honored and blessed to continue my family's tradition by cooking fresh & nutritious meals to help them with their postpartum recovery.
Sadly, in today's culture, the postpartum mother gets minimal support and nutrition. At times, a family member will stay to help, or a group of her friends will get together to provide a meal train.
Whether the new mother is fending for herself, or has limited help, little
emphasis is placed on nutrition.
When a new mother’s nutritional needs are prioritized with careful attention, it can make her much more prepared for the challenges she might face in the weeks ahead.
Healthy plant-based postpartum meals can provide crucial nutrients that support healing, breastfeeding, hormonal balance, and energy levels.
Please don't underestimate the importance of proper nutrition during your pregnancy, and during your first few weeks after giving birth.
